About the role
The Radiation Therapist position is a full-time, first shift role under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.
Responsibilities
- Administers ionizing radiation and consults with Radiation Oncologist regarding examinations as necessary.
- Aids in the simulation process and fabrication of immobilization devices.
- Stocks treatment rooms with linen and supplies and keeps abreast of equipment in all areas.
- Participates in the education of students in Radiologic Technology and Radiation Therapy programs.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by ARRT, or military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required.
- Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration required.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience using Aria and Varian linear accelerators.
