About the role
The Raytheon Mission Capability Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to support the AN/TPY-2 Radars.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Radar system issues and lead troubleshooting activities in response to site leadership priorities.
- Ensure compliance with QA and Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) reporting requirements by delivering accurate, complete, and timely documentation.
- Define and execute data collection, reduction, and analysis requirements and procedures for Radar system performance.
- Communicate system status to the end user and coordinate calibration and maintenance activities as required.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience leading field or range test activities.
- Experience with test instrumentation, telemetry, radar systems, communications systems, or weapons systems integration.
- Comptia Security + certification or willingness to complete certification within 90 days of hire.
- Prior military or defense industry test range experience.
- Experience supporting DoD developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) events.
- Familiarity with missile systems, air defense systems, or command-and-control platforms.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering and test methodologies.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Knowledge of range safety and environmental compliance requirements.
