Radar Engineer, Senior

About the role

The Radar Engineer, Senior is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced radar systems. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance meets or exceeds industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop radar systems for military and commercial applications.
• Conduct research and development on new radar technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to refine system specifications and requirements.
• Perform system testing and validation to ensure reliability and performance.
• Document design processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in radar engineering or related field.
• Experience with radar signal processing and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of radar systems, including antenna design, signal generation, and data acquisition techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with radar simulation software such as CST Microwave Studio or Ansoft HFSS.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave components and circuits.
• Understanding of electromagnetic theory and propagation.

Skills

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA or Trello.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
