Beaverhead River runs through town and is known for fly fishing, while Bannack State Park is about 25 miles away and preserves one of Montana’s best-known ghost towns. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest surrounds much of the region and provides hiking, camping, and scenic drives, and Interstate 15 connects Dillon to Butte in about 65 miles.
