Performing accurate diagnostic procedures on patients takes a reassuring approach, technical skills, and state-of-the-art equipment. That's precisely what you'll find at Carilion Clinic, a community-based healthcare network that includes seven hospitals, multi-specialty physician practices, and affiliations with prestigious academic medical institutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis
• Assess patients prior to, during, and after procedures that have been ordered according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines
• Operate highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System)
• Position patients to obtain quality images
• Perform IV contrast injections, urinary catheterizations, and/or other procedures as required
• Utilize RIS (Radiology Information System) and electronic medical records
• Train students and staff as assigned
• May be cross trained on laboratory phlebotomy and operate laboratory waive testing equipment according to CLIA regulations
• May be trained to perform EKGs
• Travel to other Velocity Cares required

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry required
• Virginia state license required
• AHA BLS-HCP required
• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills

Pay & Benefits

New hire sign on bonus of up to $30,000, up to $7,000 in relocation assistance is available.

Compensation range: $23.97 - $35.96. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
