What You'll Do

• Perform accurate diagnostic procedures with a reassuring approach and technical skills using state-of-the-art equipment.
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures as per Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
• Operate specialized equipment such as radiographic, CR, DR, and PACS systems.
• Position patients to ensure quality images are obtained.
• Administer IV contrast injections, perform urinary catheterizations, and conduct other procedures as needed.
• Utilize RIS and electronic medical records.
• Train students and staff as assigned.
• May be cross-trained in laboratory phlebotomy and operate waived testing equipment according to CLIA regulations.
• May be trained to perform EKGs.

What We Require

• Education: Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Licensure, Certification, and Registration: Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry required; Virginia state license required; AHA BLS-HCP required.
• Experience: None required.
