Rad Tech Aide

Essential Job Duties

• Maintains patient schedule and ensures efficient patient flow.
• Monitors Radiology Information System to optimize patient flow.
• Answers phone calls and takes messages as necessary.
• Stocks linen and supplies, monitoring expiration dates monthly.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during transfers and procedures.
• Aids in transferring patients on and off scanning tables.
• Assists with checking in and navigating patients through the continuum of care.
• Escorts and transports patients to/from Emergency Department, waiting areas, and procedure areas.
• Assists technologists and nurses with preparing and completing procedures.
• Plays a role in placing stretchers at the correct height for safe patient transfers.
• Places and removes scanning bed attachments according to technologist's directions.
• Changes scanning bed attachments as required by the technologist.
• Wears appropriate personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of radiology office experience preferred.
• Computer skills essential, advanced skills in eRecord preferred.

Skills

• Advanced computer skills, particularly in eRecord systems.

Pay

Salary Range: $17.70 - $22.92 per hour.

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
