Rad Tech Aid

Major Responsibilities

• Captures patient flow and reports necessary information to appropriate resources.
• Maintains inpatient holding area to ensure patient needs are met and minimizes wait times.
• Verifies patient information using computer-based systems and prints daily schedules.
• Answers phone calls and assists with scheduling exams.
• Prepares rooms and assists technologists with procedures, utilizing sterile technique.
• Assists with patient transfers and monitors Patient Transport system.
• Confirms patient appointments and provides relevant information.
• Maintains supply levels and performs secondary erasure of CR cassettes.

Position Qualifications

• High school education with specialized courses in medical terminology, computer training, and medical assisting preferred but not required.
• 3 months of related experience in basic office and patient care procedures, medical terminology, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of personal computers and data terminals for recording, verifying, and retrieving information.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and provide exceptional service.
