Responsibilities
- Foster a fun environment and act as a gracious host to all guests and co-workers.
- Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events.
- Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the ACES Service Program guidelines.
- Comply with state, company, and department policies and regulations.
- Provide security on assigned gaming or landing areas, including maintaining high visibility, handling problem situations, watching for safety hazards, and assisting in medical situations.
- Patrol parking lots and provide security escorts for monetary transfers, fills, and credit.
- Perform crowd control, direct traffic, check IDs, and monitor for prohibited items (e.g., cameras, bottles) on the gaming floor.
- Assist customers with directions, calling cabs, car trouble, and other needs, including special assistance for disabled patrons.
- Observe count crew during VLT drop and transport funds to the count room.
- Serve as a dispatcher, assigning officers to various tasks and maintaining activity logs.
- Write detailed reports for incidents involving law violations or company policy violations.
- Testify in court as needed.
- Perform strenuous physical activity occasionally.
- Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and regulatory, department, and company policies.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, free of hazards, debris, and litter.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Complete any reasonable request made by a supervisor or management personnel.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Must enjoy hosting others and be comfortable initiating conversations to create a fun environment.
- Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions from supervisors or managers.
- Must qualify for licensing by the Ohio Lottery Commission and Ohio Casino Control Commission.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must tolerate areas with secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
- Must have open availability, including all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate the company Security Vehicle.
