RA - Interior Architecture

About the role

This position provides currently enrolled university students with part-time employment opportunities that support departmental operations while fostering professional growth and skill development. Student employees may be federally funded through the Federal Work-Study Program or institutionally funded; job responsibilities and performance expectations remain consistent regardless of funding source.

The role is designed to complement the student's academic experience by promoting workplace readiness, accountability, communication skills, and time management. Student employees are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality (where applicable), and compliance with university policies while balancing work responsibilities with their academic commitments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and responsibilities of the assigned department
• Perform clerical functions including answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing
• Provide front-line customer service, data entry, filing, light research assistance, and technology support
• Support events and programs as needed
• Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Currently enrolled university student

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Frequent sitting and standing
• Frequent keyboard use
• May require kneeling, bending, squatting, or performing CPR (role-specific)

Schedule

Part-time, scheduled around academic coursework. Hours are limited to the maximum allowable weekly hours in accordance with university and funding guidelines.
