R.N. II Emergency - Full Time - 3pm Shift - 12hr ICH
About the role
The Emergency Services (ES) Registered Nurse (RN) at Emanate Health is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients with various types of acute issues. This includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with diagnosed, undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed problems.
Responsibilities
- Achieve at least 4 hours of BRN-approved pediatric education within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter.
- Participate in a Two-day approved EDAP/ENPC course every 4 years (for QVH).
- Satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program if newly graduated, re-entry, or new to the U.S. healthcare system.
- Have one year of clinical experience preferred, especially in emergency or critical care.
- Complete the Basic ER Nursing Course within 6 months of hire.
- Show excellent customer service skills.
- Hold a current RN license in California and maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 3 months of hire.
- Obtain Assaultive Behavior Training Certification meeting AB508 and SB1299 requirements within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- Be prepared to work every other weekend.
- Pass NIH Stroke Scale Certification "A" within 3 months of hire/transfer at QVH and meet annual 8-hour Stroke Education requirement.
Requirements

Minimum License: Current RN license in the State of California.
Minimum Certification: BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS Certification required within 3 months of hire. Assaultive Behavior Training Certification that meets AB508 and SB1299 required within 30 days of hire/transfer. New hires that have completed Assaultive Behavior training outside of Emanate Health will be required to complete Emanate Health Work Place Violence online awareness module within 30 days of hire/transfer. CEN preferred.
Additional Training: NIH Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer for those working at QVH and FPH. Annual 8 hours of Stroke Education required for those working at QVH.
