R&D Technician II - Melting

Responsibilities

• Support role for melting operations in R&D.
• Operate and assist operation of lab-scale VIM, VAR, and ESR furnaces.
• Processing – heat preparation, melting, casting, heat treating, cutting operations, and other tasks as assigned.
• Prepare experimental heats, rebuild furnaces, melt, and cast heats.
• Operate band saws in R&D High Bay.
• Provide back-up for other R&D positions as needed.
• Ability to work alone or in a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of related experience
