Responsibilities

  • Perform product testing in accordance with established test methods and protocols.
  • Support R&D stability and shelf life testing for a syringe-based product within the digestive health line.
  • Comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) after receiving appropriate training.
  • Participate as an active team member in laboratory testing activities, collaborating with lab engineers, technicians, and the lab coordinator.
  • Use laboratory equipment, including tension, tensile, compression, and related testing instruments, following training and procedures.
  • Enter test data accurately into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other data systems as required.

Essential Skills

  • 0–3 years of experience performing testing and/or inspection in a laboratory setting or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment for product testing and inspection.
  • Familiarity with data entry and documentation in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to comply with GLP, GDP, and GMP after training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a scientific discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience performing testing and/or inspection in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (0–3 years).
  • Experience with tension testing, tensile testing, compression testing, or use of an Instron or MTS equipment is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for data entry is a plus.
  • Experience in chemistry or as a chemist is beneficial.
  • Exposure to class III medical device testing or quality control is an advantage.
  • Interest in new product development, particularly in shelf life and stability testing.

Work Environment

This role supports R&D stability and shelf life testing for a syringe-based product in the digestive health line within a large, modern research and development laboratory. The lab environment is well lit, clean, and equipped with updated technology, including systems and instruments used for tension, tensile, compression, and related mechanical testing. The position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a class III medical device and to contribute to new product development projects. The site is located in a convenient area off Highway 400 in Alpharetta, near Winward Parkway, with many nearby restaurants for lunch. The management team is described as friendly and inviting, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, working 8-hour shifts. Start times are flexible between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., with the workday ending by 4:00 p.m.; starting between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. is preferred to allow for an unpaid lunch break.

Pay And Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
