R&D Technician, Analytical Services

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper safety attitudes, procedures and housekeeping is maintained on all work programs
• Conduct work in a manner that protects self, colleagues, the environment, and safety of the community
• Organize procedures to generate and collect data
• Independently analyze operations, make calculations, and record test results
• Establish requirements for quality processes for materials and services to be delivered
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Perform routine testing following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Process and test samples, interpret and document test results
• Assist in interpretation of materials, present information in formal or informal settings and make recommendations when appropriate
• Assist in training and instruction of personnel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience
• Attention to detail, documentation, planning and organization
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Adherence to safe work practices in compliance with all environmental, health, safety and security protocol
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office software)
• Flexibility to perform/participate in other duties as assigned
