R&D Tech II
About the role
As a R&D Tech II at Honeywell, you will play a key role in supporting research and development activities by conducting experiments, analyzing data, and assisting in the development of innovative technologies. You will contribute to advancing Honeywell's cutting-edge solutions and help drive technical excellence within the team. In this role, you will impact the successful execution of R&D projects by providing technical support, ensuring quality and accuracy in experimental work, and collaborating with engineers and scientists to bring new technologies from concept to reality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing following established procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and chemical inventory.
- Perform basic maintenance on laboratory instrumentation.
- Verify data quality.
- Communicate with internal customers on data and methods.
- Provide limited weekend coverage.
Requirements
You must have:
- Minimum associate’s degree in a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory or chemical field.

- Analytical chemistry experience in techniques such as organic physical properties (e.g., density, cold flow properties), wet chemical analysis (including titrations), combustion elemental analysis, and chromatography.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Scientific writing and presentation skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
- Experience handling hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
