R&D Technician II

Randstad Life Sciences is seeking a dedicated R&D Technician II for a high-impact, 6-month contract in Worcester, MA. Responsibilities

• Maintain physical inventory of biological materials in proper storage conditions while updating digital inventory software records.
• Manage and maintain low-temperature (-80°C) freezers to ensure sample integrity.
• Aliquot biological materials precisely under controlled, aseptic laboratory conditions.
• Utilize proprietary shipping software to safely coordinate, send, and track sample shipments.
• Manage laboratory logistics, including receiving and stocking supplies, and ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste.

Requirements

• BS degree with 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in biologics sample processing or a related scientific field.
• Strong educational background with a significant number of completed biology courses.
• Proven experience handling biological materials and strong familiarity with standard laboratory techniques.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and comfortably sit for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours).
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task within an environment of shifting deadlines.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Experience working with automated liquid handlers and chemical inventory databases.
• Experience spending extended periods working inside a bio-safety hood.

$25.00 - 33.05 per hour
