Responsibilities
- Formulating, preparing electrode slurries, and applying coatings to current collectors.
- Assembling coin cells using optimized cathode materials.
- Characterizing materials using techniques such as SEM-EDX, TGA, and particle size analysis.
- Aiding in setup, testing, and debugging of new processing operations.
- Analyzing data and presenting findings to the team.
- Maintaining detailed experiment records.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Adhering to lab safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
- In process or obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience working in research laboratories, glovebox handling.
- Creative, self-driven, “out-of-the-box” thinker with a long history of problem-solving and an ability to wear many hats.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desired Experience
- Experience with coin cell building and electrochemical analysis.
- Experience with material analytical techniques.
Location & Benefits
On-site in San Leandro, CA. Contractor; Hourly Rate is $22-$32/per hour.
