About the role

You will partner with R&D teams, as well as manufacturing and quality teams, to develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products. You will influence the system form factor, product performance, and customer experience for those using our products. You will be a key contributor in our mission to become a world-class customer experience company through our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with R&D teams, as well as manufacturing and quality teams, to develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling
  • 1 year experience working on product development, including prototyping and testing

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 years of experience working in Research and Development or working in a product development environment
  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems involving product and process
  • Experience with test method creation and improvement
  • Experience with characterization, process monitoring, specifications, failure analysis and data analysis
  • Ability to present facts to team members at all levels and backgrounds
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, lean, and process improvement methodology
  • Knowledge of the building industry
  • Hands on practical experience building something, either personal or professional

Benefits

Salary range: $90,039 - $139,561

Schedule

5 days on site is the standard, but there is a lot of flexibility as specific, discrete needs arise like needing to pick up kids or go to an appointment or whatever.
