About the role

Reporting to the Head of the technical dept., this role oversees the execution of complex product and process changes across a consumer health manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently while supporting operational excellence initiatives.

Our client is a multibillion-dollar, publicly held consumer healthcare manufacturing conglomerate which has a robust portfolio of trusted brands across pain relief, vitamins & supplements, specialty care, oral health, respiratory, and other health-related areas. The business is hiring out of growth and needs an R&D expert to drive new product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of product launches, transfers, and change management projects.
  • Assess project feasibility, impact, and implementation requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop project plans, launch strategies, and implementation timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, recommend solutions, and drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement, Lean, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance and standardized systems.
  • Facilitate collaboration between technical, operational, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related scientific discipline.
  • 5+ years of R&D / NPD experience within the consumer healthcare or pharma manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of new product introduction, product transfers, and technical operations.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement experience.
  • Ability to influence teams and drive projects in a fast-paced environment.
