(R&D) Project Engineer

Summary Of Duties

• Project Management: Managing and documenting Research and Development Projects.
• Connection Design: Developing and documenting connection designs.
• FEA Analysis: Performing and documenting Finite Element Analysis on connection designs.
• Prototyping and Evaluation Testing: Developing testing programs and evaluating and documenting test results.
• Product Specification: Developing product specifications.
• Technical Presentations and Papers: Authoring and presenting technical presentations and papers for internal and external distribution.
• Operational Support: Supporting other VAM USA departments in connection to product commercialization activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in design or manufacturing experience with oilfield mechanical products.
• Knowledgeable in Drilling and Completion operations and applications is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
• Experience with CAD, preferably Solidworks.
• Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Able to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
