Responsibilities
- Executing projects within the Lufkin Gears product range, meeting delivery deadlines, managing profit and loss, and ensuring accountability requirements are met.
- Customer satisfaction by efficiently managing project activities.
- Developing, updating, and maintaining CAD templates and automations used by Lufkin Gears design offices in collaboration with FR and UK Teams.
- Contributing to the development of new standards and design rules within the “NPI & NPD” framework.
- Supporting the design offices with specific calculations (FEA, CFD, bearings, etc.).
- Managing and analyzing data.
- Conducting applied research, studies, development work, analyses, testing, and implementing innovations.
- Proposing new/updated calculation tools used by the engineering department to save time and optimize designs.
- Defining and monitoring calculation methods in line with evolving standards and technologies.
- Defining development tasks related to existing or new products, starting from engineering requests from product managers.
- Participating in technical group consultation sessions (internal/external).
- Participating in design reviews for complex or new equipment (based on level of experience).
- Participating in engineering and site improvement actions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanical engineer or similar position.
- A good knowledge of Lufkin Gears products.
- Skills in CAD techniques (full or partial proficiency in CREO).
- Proficiency in mechanical calculation methods (analytic, FEA…).
- A good knowledge in various programming languages is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead programs/projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a matrix organization, as part of a team, demonstrating inclusiveness and collaboration.
Qualifications
