About the role
Work independently and with a cross-functional team to plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. Effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead, and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. Plan, lead, and coordinate development activities such as product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, and consumer test preparation. This role involves co-leading projects with senior leaders and suppliers, with a strong emphasis on pilot plant and trials work, including ingredient troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Travel 25-40% to various client facilities in the U.S., typically once a month.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups, including senior leadership and suppliers.
- Lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in compliance with GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Plan and execute development activities, such as product shelf-life testing and consumer test preparation.
- Troubleshoot ingredient-related issues during pilot plant or trialing.
Requirements
- Minimum BS in Food Science with 3-5 years of experience.
- Experience in a food industry manufacturing environment, preferably in biscuit snacking.
- Knowledge of ingredient functionality and commercialization.
- Comfortable working onsite at 100 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ 7936 (M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week).
- Must wear anti-slip and steel-toed shoes as a job requirement.
Skills
- Experience with ingredient troubleshooting and pilot plant or trialing (highly preferred).
- Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and suppliers.
