R&D Materials & Process (M&P) Engineer

The R&D Materials and Process (M&P) Engineer will manage the development and testing of new materials and processes, collaborating with internal and external partners. Key responsibilities include:

• New Material Development and Testing
• Evaluate new materials and develop process capability and specifications
• Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards
• Provide recommendations for material or process adjustments

Project Support

• Support internal R&D projects and early-stage applications of new materials
• Develop composite parts for material use cases
• Develop strategies for advanced material use cases

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• 0 - 7 years’ experience in materials or a related engineering field
• Experience in material testing (physical, chemical and/or mechanical)
• Familiarity with composite fabrication techniques
• Desired characteristics include background in prototyping, testing, and R&D environments, familiarity with material testing equipment, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, hands-on mindset, effective communication, and creative adaptability.

Salary Range: $64,400 to $95,800 per year
