Key Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory raw material inventory and supplies, including receiving, storing, and organizing materials.
- Handle and transport raw materials weighing up to 45-50 pounds.
- Assist with general laboratory support functions and maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization.
- Support laboratory personnel with sample preparation, material handling, and other routine tasks.
- Record, maintain, and transfer technical information accurately using both manual and electronic systems.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of raw materials in accordance with safety guidelines and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving general laboratory issues to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
- Support additional laboratory activities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework or education in science-related disciplines is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred but not required. Internship, academic laboratory, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is a plus.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of basic laboratory operations and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of proper chemical and material handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to accurately document and communicate technical information.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and support a variety of laboratory functions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to consistently lift and move materials weighing up to 45-50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform routine laboratory activities throughout the workday.
