R&D Intern
About the role
This is Prolacta Bioscience’s mission: to save the lives of infants in the NICU by unlocking the biological power of human milk. The Research & Development team is seeking an R&D Intern to support their projects.
Responsibilities
- Support research and perform biological or chemical assays per established procedures or guidelines (such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, particle-size analyzer and others).
- Compile and analyze experimental data.
- Support ongoing product characterization, stability studies, and data analysis.
- Perform study tasks to support R&D and/or Operations projects, including writing summary reports.
- Write protocols or summary reports.
- Prepare, ship, and track samples to external laboratories or sites.
Requirements
- Enrolled (junior/senior) or newly graduated from accredited colleges or universities with good academic standing.
- Majoring in Biological Science, Chemistry, Food Science, or Engineering (bio/chemical) degree.
- MUST have prior experience with engineering, chemistry, or biology laboratory (such as laboratory courses).
Qualifications
- Flexible work hours, including some mandatory early morning and late-night shifts.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Attention to detail.
- Self-motivation, adaptability, organization, and a positive attitude.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
