Evaluation of grant opportunities
Evaluate grant opportunities partnering with research managers and R&D leadership
Financial management
- Analyzes financial impact of proposed contracts and recommends execution.
- Directs and/or provides support for grant applications, including budgets, timelines, narratives, and other required information.
- Manages and develops sponsor relationships.
- Establishes and monitors financial metrics and prepares budget variance and other financial analyses.
Grant oversight
- Oversees post-award grant management, including award setup, reporting deadlines, participant data accuracy, allowable cost monitoring, documentation, and compliance with sponsor requirements.
- Analyses operational issues affecting R&D and determines financial impact, including making recommendations to meet strategic project goals.
Collaboration and communication
- Works collaboratively with clinical research teams to ensure the financial integrity of research studies.
- Works collaboratively with R&D teams to assess financial performance.
- Provides financial education to designated areas.
- Maintains effective working relationships with principal investigators, clinicians, and operational and finance leaders to support strategic goals.
Supervision and training
- Supervises financial staff as assigned.
- Provides education and training for staff.
Qualifications
- Education: College graduate with degree in accounting, finance or business administration. Masters degree in business administration or related field desirable.
- Experience: Three to five years experience in healthcare finance, accounting or financial planning.
- Licensure/Certifications/Registration: CPA desirable.
