About the role
We are searching for a Quote Specialist to join our growing operations at our Reserve, LA location. The Quote Specialist is responsible for providing support to our sales team by preparing quotes and pricing. The specialist will work closely with sales representatives and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate pricing information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales support and customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who wants to develop this role by taking ownership, supporting, and driving revenue.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate and timely quotations for customers, ensuring that all information is complete
- Interact with vendors to obtain special pricing and special-order items
- Review requests for quotes (RFQs) and ensure all necessary information is obtained from the sales representative
- Work with territory sales reps to identify & communicate opportunities for upselling / cross-selling
- Provide accurate and up-to-date pricing information for all products and services requested
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure that all quotes are compliant with company policies and procedures
- Respond promptly to territory sales rep inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that all opportunities are properly qualified and pursued
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks, such as finance requests, machine blocks, machine demo requests, etc.
- Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of quoting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage daily workload
- Attend all department and sales meetings as requested
Requirements
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; High School Diploma required
- REQUIRED: 2 years of machine sales experience
- REQUIRED: Good verbal communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving ability
- REQUIRED: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- REQUIRED: Ability to multi-task in an organized, effectively, timely, and professional manner
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Well-developed communication and organizational skills
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Proficiency in computers and related software

Pay
Competitive pay.
Schedule
8am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
