Quintavius Oliver (Film God)

About the Artist

Quintavius Oliver is an Atlanta-based fine art and documentary photographer who uses engaging portraits as a means of self-exploration and sensitive storytelling. He acquired his first camera at the age of six from his grandmother and immediately began documenting his ever-expanding world. Completely self-taught, Quintavius continues to document and articulate the world and people around him on film.

• A Love Letter To Havana | View on Foundation

  When I first landed in Havana, I had no idea it would become like a second home or that the people I'd meet would become like family. This story is comprised of hundreds of rolls of film shot over several years with friends and family in Havana. This collection is my tribute to them and contains 20 photos in total.

  When I held my daughter in my arms for the first time, I understood true love. This collection reflects my journey as a full-time single father, navigating discovery, creativity, patience, and laughter while raising a little girl.

• Therapy vol. 1 | View on OpenSea

  This exercise from my therapist led me to explore happiness through photography. The camera looks both ways, and what I feel is reflected back at me through my lens. These pictures are as much self-portraits as they are street photography—photography is a valid form of therapy.
