Quick Lube Technician

Responsibilities

• Ability to use an automotive hoist safely and lift vehicles without causing damage or personal injury
• Perform a vehicle check up or multi point inspection and report findings to the service advisor
• Correctly change engine oil and oil filter
• Correctly replace engine air filter and cabin air filter as needed
• Able to lift large tires to complete tire rotation on cars and light to medium duty trucks
• Mount and balance tires on cars and light to medium duty trucks
• Communicate clearly to team members during the vehicle check up process
• Check tire pressure and set to specification
• Repair or replace worn parts as needed
• Use power tools and common hand tools to perform various tasks
• Use a grease gun to lube grease fittings
• Replace diesel and gasoline fuel filters
• Properly test batteries in gas and diesel powered vehicles
• KEEP THE SHOP CLEAN AND SAFE!!!

Qualifications

• An understanding of automobiles and basic mechanical skills
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must pass a pre employment drug screening
