About the role
Carewann is a Maryland home care agency serving Montgomery County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and surrounding Maryland communities. We are hiring CNAs who want consistent, dependable work with one client at a time, supported by a nurse-led team that values your certification and your effort.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Provide medication reminders within your CNA scope of practice
- Light housekeeping and laundry related to client care
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands when scheduled
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervising nurse
- Communicate clearly with the office, family members, and care team
Requirements
- Active CNA certification in Maryland (required)
- Maryland Board of Nursing CNA listing in good standing
- Authorization to work in the United States (E-Verify)
- Background check
- Reference check
- CPR/BLS certification
- Negative TB test or Chest X-ray clearance
- Pre-employment health physical exam
- Professional references
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills
- Compassion, patience, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Experience in home care, assisted living, or hospital care is a plus
