QUARTZ - QUALITY CONTROL OPERATOR

About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as part of Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This role operates on a 2-2-3 shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7 AM, helping to maintain a safe, healthy, and organized working environment across all areas of the plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols throughout the plant.
• Follow the Quality Management System and ensure product meets quality control standards.
• Operate and maintain knowledge of the spectrophotometer.
• Communicate with team members regarding new and existing inspection issues.
• Perform pigment cookie tests.
• Maintain safe, healthy, and organized working conditions.
• Use Microsoft Office software to write reports, present information, and send emails.
• Define opportunities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Monitor equipment and/or processes, reporting any unusual problems to a supervisor in a timely manner.
• Follow company operating procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Skills

• Ability to run and maintain a spectrophotometer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software for report writing, presentations, and email communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including data collection and analysis to draw valid conclusions.
