About The Role
The Quarry Technician position is a multi-skilled role responsible for the mining operation.
- Operation of mobile equipment required to mine rock (e.g., rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks and water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker)
- Perform mechanical maintenance check-outs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, and conduct minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment
- Monitor and react to quality issues (e.g., sample drill holes, monitor quality feedback information, and adjust mining pattern as necessary)
- Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Required to work outside, at heights, in warm temperatures, and at times around and over water, in dusty environments, and confined spaces
- Must operate on a two-shift basis; incumbents will predominantly work these two shifts, and weekends are required
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests
