Quarry Operator

About the role

The Quarry Operator performs assigned tasks while maintaining situational awareness and proficiency to minimize the risk of personal injury or property damage.

Responsibilities

• Operate splitter with an assistant to maneuver pieces of raw material into position for breaking apart
• Palletize finished product
• Tie off and properly tag finished pallets
• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace per MSHA regulations
• Band pallets of finished product using a banding device
• Record daily logs and maintain daily equipment checklists

Requirements

• Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds or more
• Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain, etc.)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• Experience in the landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industry is a plus
• Ability to read and write
