About the Role

Join the IBM Quantum team, where we're building quantum computers to bring useful quantum computing to the world. Our mission involves multiple teams conducting research, assembling and testing full systems, and making them available to a global user base. A well-architected, secure network is crucial to our success. You'll be part of the team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network that connects IBM's quantum computers and their components for internal research, development, and global client access.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the network infrastructure for IBM's quantum computers and their components.
• Focus on managing a large number of networked devices and components.
• Explore and implement tools and techniques for automated network management.

Qualifications

Preferred Education: Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Computer Science or Electrical Engineering background
• Proficiency in Linux
• Automation knowledge - Ansible/Python
• Understanding of APIs
• Desire/interest to work in the field of Computer Networking

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• General Networking/Security knowledge
• Knowledge of DevOps/GitHub processes
• Understanding of SNMP
