About the Role

You will be working on quantum hardware, electrical and mechanical studies to improve the reliability and scaling (RESCALE) of our quantum systems. This role requires good hands-on skills, an excellent attitude, and a sharp mind. Weekly updates to senior colleagues and other interns are part of the role, so strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development in quantum hardware, focusing on electrical and mechanical improvements.
• Work on cryogenics, experimental quantum computing, and related fields to enhance system reliability and scalability.
• Present weekly updates to senior colleagues and interns, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Qualifications

Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Graduate student in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Expertise in cryogenics, experimental quantum computing, or adjacent fields.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Experience with superconducting materials or qubits.
• Quantitative electromagnetic simulation experience.
• Knowledge of methods to compensate for CTE mismatch under 300°C excursions.
• Precision assembly skills.
