Job Description
A chartered quantity surveyor with experience in international projects and the construction disputes arena.
Key Accountabilities
- Minimum of 10 years’ non-contentious construction experience.
- Minimum of 20 years’ overall experience.
- Must have an eagerness to maintain and develop their own contact database and undertake marketing collaboratively.
- To be located in the UK with the ability to travel to respond to international matters.
- The applicant will have received previous expert instructions regarding High Court or International Arbitration proceedings.
- Experienced in the preparation of CPR 35 compliant submissions in response to timetable directions.
- Having given oral evidence in the above is advantageous but not essential.
- Able to work on multiple commissions concurrently.
- Able to manage others and provide clear directions to those who provide a supporting role.
- Experience in building a support team and providing mentoring and training to those individuals.
- Sound knowledge of various standard forms of construction contract (JCT and NEC essential).
- Recognised expert witness training, such as Bond Solon or similar, is advantageous.
