Responsibilities
- Partner with infrastructural technology teams to accelerate IBM Quantum’s progress towards fault-tolerant quantum computers.
- Define and implement cross-team integration and test plans.
- Establish best practices for engineering documentation, requirements tracking, and change control.
- Provide broad exposure to IBM’s efforts across signal delivery, control electronics, cryogenics, and readout hardware, offering opportunities to self-identify domains for deep technical contributions.
Requirements
- Master’s in physics, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Strong technical communication skills.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree (preferred).
- PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Technical expertise with one or more of the following areas: complex circuit test, low noise measurement, microwave electronics, test automation, qubit calibration and test.
- Strong knowledge of component and system level performance metrics for quantum computers.
- Leadership experience as demonstrated by prior roles in technical product, program, or personnel management.
