Quality Tooling Technician
About the Role
You will be working in a fast-paced environment in the Commercial Aerospace industry, collaborating with a technical measurement team to calibrate and ensure aircraft tooling meets specifications. Strong organizational skills are required to maintain proper traceability.
At ST Engineering MRAS, employees work on advanced technologies and systems supporting global customers. The company specializes in complex aerostructures, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers, and advanced composite products, leveraging digital technologies and automation in design and manufacturing. We are also expanding our maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Track calibration expiry dates on tooling equipment
- Schedule tooling calibration efforts
- Investigate new technology to replace aging systems
- Perform calibrations on large industrial and small handheld equipment
- Handle packaging and shipment of systems
- Log equipment information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field with 5+ years of experience in technical documentation and CAD operations
- Familiarity with technical CAD programs such as CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or PolyWorks
- Strong technical writing skills
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or fall under a legally recognized export control exception due to access to export-controlled technology
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with 3D measurement equipment and data processing, such as FARO Arms and Laser Trackers
- Ability to read engineering drawings, including Tolerances, GD&T, and Datum structures
- Proficiency in tracking using spreadsheet software and collaborative communication tools
- Strong communication skills to interact with various manufacturing groups and provide technical and scheduling information

Pay
Estimated salary range for this role: $63,500 to $93,000 per year. Base salary is one component of a competitive Total Rewards package.
