About the role
This position is located at our Fort Worth, TX site and is part of the Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit. The EP Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products designed to provide safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.Responsibilities
- Test and inspect Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboards to applicable standards (i.e. UL1558, UL891, IEEE, etc)
- Use multi-meter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit design to ensure accurate wiring and operation.
- Use Hipot, test card, hand tools, specialized software (i.e. Siemens WinPM, Step 7, MicroWin, WinCC Flexible, SAP, etc.) and various other tools to aid in testing and inspecting.
- Perform inspection/audit of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
Requirements
- 2+ years exposure to electrical components or knowledge of electrical components.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language along with Blueprints/engineering drawings.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability/experience testing and troubleshooting with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 2+ years exposure to electrical components or knowledge of electrical components. High school diploma or GED. Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language along with Blueprints/engineering drawings. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability/experience testing and troubleshooting with strong problem-solving skills. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years in capacity of engineering or quality functions for power distribution equipment. Knowledge of prevailing codes (UL1558, UL891, UL508). Knowledge of power distribution components (breaker, relays, communication devices). Associates degree or technical training in area of responsibility.
