Quality Technician II - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection of Motor Grader, Medium Wheel Loaders, and DV components and DV machines.
• Emphasis is on assembly and paint process inspection.
• Apply Caterpillar engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to judge conformance of NLR products.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in one of the following areas: Quality Inspection, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, or Logistics.
• Additional work experience, particularly in a manufacturing quality role, is highly desirable.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and Cat 1E specifications is highly desirable.
• Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance is also desirable.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in SAP-ME, AQE, and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
• Experience using online Caterpillar drawings (in EPIX or PRWB) and 1E Specifications (in REDI) is highly desirable.
• Experience in use of manual measurement devices (calipers, gauges, micrometers, and etc) is highly desirable.
• Understanding and experience with the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) or 8D issue resolution process is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications

Skills

• Ability to use Teamcenter software to open and view CAD models of Prime Product and assemblies.
• Proficiency in SAP-ME, AQE, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using online Caterpillar drawings (in EPIX or PRWB) and 1E Specifications (in REDI).
• Experience in use of manual measurement devices (calipers, gauges, micrometers, and etc).
• Understanding and experience with the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) or 8D issue resolution process.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.

Pay

$21.75 - $27.30 per hour (includes 7% Shift Differential)

Schedule

Shift: 2ndt Shift
Full Time Hours: M-F, 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.
