About the role
Maintains high quality standards of finished product by monitoring quality procedures throughout the assembly process while providing leadership in commitment to a quality culture.
Responsibilities
- Monitors the daily adherence to established quality standards and procedures and recommends changes.
- Oversees the daily auditing of finished products.
- Investigates root causes of assembly defects and initiates the corrective action process as required.
- Works with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues discovered by customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involved with final assembly.
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Some physical demand; often lifts light-weight material.
- Rarely lifts/moves average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
- Generally good working conditions.
- Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
