Quality Test Technician

About the role

Maintains high quality standards of finished product by monitoring quality procedures throughout the assembly process while providing leadership in commitment to a quality culture.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the daily adherence to established quality standards and procedures and recommends changes.
• Oversees the daily auditing of finished products.
• Investigates root causes of assembly defects and initiates the corrective action process as required.
• Works with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues discovered by customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education Degree.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involved with final assembly.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement.
• Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light-weight material.
• Rarely lifts/moves average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Generally good working conditions.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
