Job Responsibilities
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.

Typical Task Breakdown
- Collaborate with Machine Engineers to get updates on machine availability.
- Drive instrumentation setup and assist with troubleshooting as required.
- Run tests with or without machine operators during planning and documentation stages.
- Participate in meetings with Design teams, mostly teleconferences.
- Support experienced Cooling Engineers by overseeing test set up and execution.
- Take ownership of planning and delivering projects as capability is demonstrated.
Education & Experience
- Required: 5-7 years of experience with a BS degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology curriculum that included Thermodynamics/Fluid Dynamics (Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
- Internships accepted if they are in thermodynamics.
- Past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Cooling Test Engineer.
