About the role
Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) is seeking a Quality Technician Lead to join our Semiconductor Services operations in Fremont, CA. This is a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of semiconductor tool components.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily quality inspection activities (incoming, in-process, final)
- Ensure technicians follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inspection criteria accurately
- Validate inspection results and documentation prior to release
- Identify, contain, and disposition non-conforming material
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Train and mentor technicians on quality standards and best practices
- Partner with Production to improve quality, reduce defects, and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, defects, and quality issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen)
Requirements
- 3+ years manufacturing or technical service experience
- Hands-on quality inspection experience
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Comfortable in cleanroom / chemical processing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Semiconductor or parts cleaning experience
- Experience with RCA, CAPA, or audits
- Lean manufacturing exposure

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and semiconductor service environment, including cleanroom and chemical processing areas
- Frequent use of hands and arms for inspection, handling parts, and documentation
- Occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, and grasping
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods
- Visual inspection of parts for defects using defined quality standards
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, and chemical processes
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times where applicable
- Moderate noise levels from equipment and compressed air systems
- Frequent interruptions and coordination across teams
