About the role

The Quality Technician II is responsible for assuring all customer and company quality expectations are met through manufacturing and inspection processes. This role identifies and implements continuous quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support for assigned Quality and Supplier Quality processes to meet departmental and customer requirements.
  • Support Customer Returned Goods functions and non-conforming material handling.
  • Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and management decisions.
  • Support improvement initiatives (e.g., 6S) and seek opportunities to enhance work productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead and develop Quality Inspectors.
  • Implement quality plans through data compilation and analysis.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
  • Intermediate computer skills and decision-making/problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate execution and operational knowledge.
  • Intermediate influence and data modeling/manipulation skills.
  • Basic manufacturing, workmanship standard knowledge, and innovation.
  • Customer focus and technical judgment.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comfortable temperatures, repetitive low noise, and suitable lighting.
  • May require walking, standing, sitting, and computer use.
  • Direct interaction with people and equipment for inspection, troubleshooting, and improvement tasks.
  • Prolonged focus on written material, team collaboration, and use of multiple software systems.

Travel

Less than 40%.

Pay

The annual compensation range for this position is $45,300.00 – $67,900.00, based on geographic location, experience, education, licensure, and skill level.

Schedule

This is an hourly position supporting 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, with a 10% shift differential.
