Quality Technician I

About the role

This role involves inspecting and testing manufactured parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, coordinate measuring machines, and hardness testers)
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Record inspection data
• Write quality reports
• Help investigate nonconforming materials
• Support tool calibration
• Support material review activities
• Support quality containment/sorting when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or engineering experience
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision inspection equipment
• Basic math skills and the ability to determine if products meet specifications
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly
• Stand and walk on concrete for 8–12-hour shifts
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Work in a noisy manufacturing environment where hearing protection may be required
