About the role
This role involves inspecting and testing manufactured parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Use precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, coordinate measuring machines, and hardness testers)
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Record inspection data
- Write quality reports
- Help investigate nonconforming materials
- Support tool calibration
- Support material review activities
- Support quality containment/sorting when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of manufacturing or engineering experience
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision inspection equipment
- Basic math skills and the ability to determine if products meet specifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25 lbs regularly
- Stand and walk on concrete for 8–12-hour shifts
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Work in a noisy manufacturing environment where hearing protection may be required
