About the Role

The Quality Technician is responsible for sustaining a safe work environment while supporting the implementation of the Excellerate Quality plans (quality control and quality assurance policies and procedures) throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Inspection Technician (QIT) ensures all manufactured assemblies meet the appropriate quality control standards under the oversight of the Quality Supervisor and in coordination with Excellerate Leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-3 years of quality management experience
  • 0-10% travel

Schedule

  • Between the hours of 6am to 6pm, or 6pm to 6am, Monday through Friday depending on assigned shift
  • Overtime may be required

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and ensure all employees follow company policies regarding Safety
  • Perform as measured against key safety, quality, and production metrics
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times according to 5S principles
  • Complete detailed procedures and checklists, with direction from quality and manufacturing leaders, to verify and document equipment assembly meets defined specifications
  • Work with leaders to help define and implement quality requirements, plans, checklists, and other deliverables
  • Provide inspection-related reports and support material as required
  • Ensure the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process is properly utilized when needed; lead the tagging, logging, and quarantine of NCM materials
  • Provide updates to the Excellerate Quality team on the status of any quality issues discovered
  • Coordinate the collection of quality data in manufacturing (inspection results, checklists, torque values, pictures, certifications, etc.)
  • Support the Excellerate Quality Team in the CAPA Process (Corrective and Preventative Action)
  • Conduct scheduled or random quality inspections on raw materials, work in process, and finished assemblies
  • Collaborate with Excellerate Leadership and quality teams at other facilities on the implementation of standardized quality tools consistently across all locations
  • Assist with quality training as needed
  • Provide Performance Evaluation Feedback
  • Ensure effective employee relations
  • Actively participate in the implementation of improvement projects
  • Follow quality procedures, including but not limited to the Non-Conforming Material and CAPA processes
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
