This is an on-site role (5 days per week) in St. Peters, MO. The position may require periodic weekend/evening work and is a 2nd shift role.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Quality Technician I to join our leadership team. In this role, you will provide the leadership necessary to establish and maintain quality levels of products through the entire value chain, driving an effective quality system. You will be responsible for quality compliance across receiving, value services (kitting and labeling), rework, and shipping operations. The successful candidate will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication while promoting employee engagement to meet business objectives. This position reports directly to the Distribution Quality/Inventory Manager and is designated as Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate PIV equipment (forklifts, clamp trucks, reach trucks, and order pickers) to load, unload, sort, stack, and stage product.
• Drive continuous improvement toward defect-free processes that create loyal customers and promote a learning culture.
• Perform daily audits and quality checks for all areas in the Distribution Center throughout the shift per documented procedures.
• Report and follow up on repeat quality issues with responsible teams to brainstorm process or design improvements.
• Participate in special projects to develop or improve quality policies, programs, or activities.
• Initiate communication and product quarantines for repeat serious issues found during audits; lead product quarantine reworks as needed.
• Execute processes including finished goods rework, re-boxing, and scrap.
• Record results for technical reporting.
• Inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods for proper appearance, packaging, and labels.
• Use industrial machinery or hand tools to make repairs to defects related to quality.
• Make suggestions for quality improvements and collaborate with production and engineering teams.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated sense of responsibility and accuracy in past and present job assignments.
• Dependability and attendance are critical for this role.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and instructions.
• Proficiency with software programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ETQ, and Oracle.
• Annual skills update training, as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of driving continuous improvement.

Pay

Hourly base pay: $25.77. Eligible for shift differential of $1 per hour.
