Quality Technician

The Quality Technician works in concert with Quality Engineering and Compliance staff, focusing on ensuring that manufacturing and quality processes produce articles that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality data analysis and reporting, investigate root causes, and help develop corrective actions.
• Resolve process issues and ensure workmanship standards are maintained.
• Assist during first‑article/first‑piece verifications.
• Support the Compliance Group during process audits and contribute to rejection reports.
• Verify that activities, items, and hardware comply with documented customer specifications and requirements.
• Help produce work instructions and procedures.
• Maintain a proactive approach to issue resolution with a sense of urgency to complete assignments on time.

Requirements

• Two‑year technical degree in a manufacturing, mechanical, or electronic engineering discipline (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in an OEM or contract manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards; related certification or training is a strong plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to seek out pertinent information, draw appropriate conclusions, and move to resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with engineering and management.
