Quality Technician

Reports to: Quality Engineer • On-site in New Albany, MS

Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM with overtime as needed

Pay

$16.87 – $20.68 per hour

About the role

This position works cross-functionally within the organization to improve quality levels for customers and enhance internal processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with experience in material inspections, audits, and quality gauges, and engages in developing quality systems, statistical analysis, and high-level problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work instructions are followed consistently
• Perform 100 % quality inspection of all shipments
• Assist with daily audits to maintain top quality standards
• Coordinate and implement quality management and improvement programs
• Work with the Quality Engineer to improve processes
• Maintain documents and records according to procedures and work instructions
• Maintain material traceability and scrap records
• Monitor and assist with quality assurance/control functions related to product manufacturing
• Assist with preparation of documentation packages, data collection, and report preparation
• Conduct incoming material inspections and maintain material traceability
• Perform various other duties within the physical constraints of the job

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read job and material specifications, quality plans, and define quality requirements
• Proficient in reading and understanding engineered drawings, P&IDs, and blueprints
• Project management skills
• Well organized with strong attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Computer literacy
• Strong communication skills across all functional areas
