Quality Technician
Overview
Responsible for quality operations in divisional areas to ensure production lines produce a product that meets customer quality and delivery requirements. This includes but are not limited to: Investigation, and reporting in support of manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions
- Ensure quality of product meets company’s standards.
- Investigation and corrective actions of vendor related opportunities.
- Document nonconformance reports.
- Cookordination with production and quality leaders on a variety of quality issues.

- Read and process written communication including, but not limited to, material specifications, frame prints, measurements, schedules, part prints.

- Work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
- Prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

- Perform root cause analysis and containment processes.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hiring.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.
- May have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to walk large distances (in all local weather conditions) to retrieve/return components is a must.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. Some Fridays, Saturdays and overtime are expected.
Required Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Problem solving skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; internal ERP and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Previous quality experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
- College degree is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
- Proven quality assurance and auditing experience in a similar industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills preferred.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
